Cheesy title?

Yeah, I guess it's kinda cheesy, but I didn't want to just name it "Katie's Blog". But the title really is pretty appropriate when I think about it. I'm in a thinking mode these days...about to turn 30, my baby is almost a year old, the long road of college, med school, and residency just came to an end, and I am beginning what feels like a new era. I have a little time off before I officially start my career...and all of a sudden, for what feels like the first time in three years, I have a little time to think. And when I start to do a little of this "thinking" the word "wonder" comes to mind. If you look in the dictionary, you will find these definitions:
Verb- "to think or speculate curiously; to be filled with admiration, amazement, or awe; marvel; to doubt". Noun- "something strange and surprising; a cause of surprise, astonishment, or admiration; the emotion excited by what is strange and surprising; miraculous deed or event; remarkable phenomenon". Yes, at the risk of conjuring up images of Kevin Arnold, Winnie Cooper, and getting that memorable theme song stuck in your head, I have named my blog "The Wonder Years" ...because my life is full of wonder: I am curious how my little life fits in God's plan, I stand in amazement and awe of my blessings beyond measure, and given the strange and surprising ups and downs of the first 30 years, I am excited for what's to come.
