We invited our friends from Sunday school and their kids. They were all bigger kids, so we were sure to have games like a pinata, Wiffle ball, bean bag toss, balls to play with, etc. Daniel fired up the grill and we had some great cook-out food.
We got Audrey a big cake, and Cindy (our next door neighbor) made her a little "smash" cake and decorated it with bright colored frosting and Audrey's name. Audrey had fun poking her little fingers in it, but never really smashed it. She did manage to still get covered in frosting. (We threw that onesie out.)
Ohhhhhh, so much cake!!! Yum!What a fun day for Audrey (and us!). I couldn't help but think how fast the past year has gone by, and how next to marrying Daniel, being Audrey's mommy has been the most wonderful experience of my life. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy, beautiful little girl. She brings such light and life to our world, and we thank God every day for letting us be her parents. We love you Aud-wee!

Katie, such a great post. Your writing about little Audrey just about brought tears to my eyes.
She gets more and more beautiful. I cannot believe how much hair she has now. And she has curls in the back!!!
Love, Rachel
