Stomp-stomp!

Typically Audrey wears little soft soled moccasin-type shoes, but she just got her first pair of "big girl shoes" this week. The first time we put them on her, she marched into the entry way and stomp-stomp-stomped! Real shoes are so much more fun because they make such great noise!

It is such a miracle to watch our funny girl grow and learn and discover her world. She is so curious, and testing everything (including her limits with us!). In just the past week she has become so "conversational"...she is babbling all the time, and speaking the words she knows more clearly. (I love hearing "mommy!" when she sees me walk in the room). We've taught her how to sign "milk", "more", and "all done" which is so useful! Yesterday, while my mom and I were talking on the porch, Audrey walked right up to me, looked me in the eyes, and signed "more" (she only uses this sign at meals). I said, "Audrey, do you want a snack?" and she signed "more" again. I plopped her in the highchair and gave her a torn up cereal bar, and she gobbled the entire thing, and then, when I said "all done?", she signed "all done" and snack time was over. She might as well have spoken the words her communication was so clear. So amazing! Her physical development has been fun to watch too. She walks so fast, she is almost to a trot sometimes, she walks around in a circle without falling, she climbs into things, and is becoming a pro at sliding off of the couch with her belly (No fear!!) Thank you Lord for this wonderful little person!
