Last weekend Audrey and I flew to Texas to celebrate Dad and Charlie's birthdays and Grandma and Grandpa's 63rd anniversary. There is always a gathering for these events at my parents house, but this is the first time I've gotten to attend in a long time. It was so fun to see everyone, and to watch the babies play. It was almost like having a set of twins! Such sweet girls!
The only un-fun part was the plane ride. Unfortunately, due either to her ears, or her unwillingness to be cooped up (or both), we were the classic pair of screaming child and apologizing mommy. Oh well, we sat next to some very forgiving families with little kids, so that was nice. I have to say my arms got a workout wrestling a wiggling 25 pounder for 2 hours each way, and I've never changed two (massive, back-to-back) poopy diapers faster in my life! All the same, it was worth the trip, and we had a great time.
Here are some of the pics. I didn't end up with that many, since my resident photographer (Daniel) had to stay at home and work. :( Enjoy!
Amy, Charlie, and Katie - my sis and bro

Finally - a picture of the girls in their matching hats made by my mother-in-law...while they take all the diapers out of the box!

A perfect afternoon at the park made complete with a Happy Meal lunch!
